I'm seeing a lot of people struggling with the game so I've decided to make a guide on how to beat this game. 

Adrenaline

The heartbeat is sort of an adrenaline meter and it slowly builds up when you're in a room. When your adrenaline reaches the highest point the monster will get you so you can't spend linger around too much in rooms. 

The Monster

Before entering a room make sure to listen closely to the door. Sometimes there will be banging behind the door, indicating that the monster is there. The monster also closes any open doors so if you open a door and the monster decides to enter the room belonging to the open door it will immediately close.
